Diplodicus

This were herbivorous dinosaur of the order Saurischia living in the Jurassic era. The name is coined from its body formation like a "double beam"13. They had a small skull as compared to the size of the body. It laid eggs whose size was like a huge ball and weighed about 25 tons standing at a height of 5metres at the hips3. They fed on mainly ferns on the ground of the forest and this made them very destructive to the trees in the Jurassic to be able to access the ferns on the ground. The young were preyed by the carnivores of the Jurassic and used the fern environment to camouflage and lived more into the bushes than to the edges3. Diplodicus had long tails which they used for communication and moved in a group as there is security in numbers3. It's an example of one of the dinosaurs which evolved big stomachs to digest food through fermentation13.
