The Yellow-eared Bat
The diversity of bats is amazing with some 950 species. Possible the most unique adaptation that has occurred is the Yellow-eared Bat (Uroderma bilobatum). Unlike most bats, which make no nest or shelter of any sort, this bat cuts a row of holes in a banana leaf so that the edges drop and forms a tent under which it hangs during the day.
