Homo sapiens, our own species migrated to Europe via the Middle East as early as 40 000 years ago. These early modern humans are also known as Cro Magnons. There is a lot of evidence of how they lived and what they wore from paintings, carvings and burial sites. They built huts to live in, wove cloth to wear and even made jewelry from bones and shells. They were very inventive and made use of all available resources. They have shown to be the most adaptable and successful mammals on earth, shaping the environment around them.
