Godinotia as portrayed in "Walking with Beasts"

A nocturnal lemur-like primate Godinotia, lived mostly in trees, where it searched for fruit and insects. They had keen vision (its large eyes suggest that they were nocturnal) and dexterous hands. They were small, reaching no higher than 30 centimeters, and had a long tail. The structure of their bones suggests that they were well adapted for leaping and running along branches. Fossils were also found in the Messel shales in Germany, as well as in other European sites. (5)
